Hi, I'm Julia Huynh. I'm a recent User Experience Design graduate from Wilfrid Laurier University. I'm passionate about design and come from an art background. I love designing and coming up with new ideas. When I was younger, I enjoyed painting on my notebooks, and making crafts from scratch.
As I got older, I went to pursue my passion in design. During my time at Laurier, I was accepted into the coop program where I completed a 12 month UX coop at BlueCat Networks. From my studies and time at coop, I have learned about visual design, user research, information architecture, and user experience processes. After graduating, I gained experience providing UX feedback to clients from working as a an E-commerce Advisor at Digital Main Street. In addition, as a Journey Design and Research Intern at Sun Life, I gained experience creating journey maps and blueprints by being a part of the Sun Life Global Investment Advisor Journey team. At Sun Life, I was also a part of the Research Operations team where I increased the visibility of Sun Life's Journey Maps and Blueprints through involvement in the launch of a journey management tool called TheyDo.
Outside of designing, I enjoy being active. I love swimming, badmintion and ping pong. Feel free to challenge me in a ping pong match!
Through my work experiences and my design classes, I have used a variety of design software, including Figma, Sketch, Miro, Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign. Additionally, by participating in design events and working on projects, I have become familiar with design principles.
