DIY Website

Project Description

This website is made to inspire female young adults to create more DIY projects and learn a new style of thinking. This website contains videos showcasing different DIY projects and links to the description of each project displayed in the video.

Process

In the early stages of this website, users were interviewed. It was found that people were interested in DIY, however, did not complete many DIY projects because of constraints such as lack of time and lack of materials/tools. To accommodate this finding, on my website I decided to focus on DIY projects that are quick to do and involve only household materials. I also decided to clearly indicated the time length and materials needed. Moreover, I chooses to give the atmosphere of a space in the background of the website to give the users a feeling of physically being in a space. Many users stated that they got DIY ideas from shops or looking at physical objects. After making a decisions according to the findings, sketches were then drawn. The website was then coded in Visual Studio Code and then moved to GitHub.
