Soil pellets come in flat cylinders and expand when water is added. The pellet will grow about six times its size in a few moments. After it is done expanding it is ready to use. Seeds can be inserted in the center where there is no netting. Soil pellets are a great way to start a planting project as it is convenient and space efficient.
